The University of Nottingham Ningbo China (UNNC) was honored with a prestigious accolade at the recent 2016 British Business Awards in Shanghai. UNNC took the award for “Educational Institutional Partnership of the Year”, beating off fierce competition from other universities, including Bangor University / CSUFT (Hunan) and Xi’an Jiaotong – Liverpool University (Suzhou).
Along with expressing his delight at the award, Provost Chris Rudd pointed out that the fostering of a student-focused experience was a key ingredient in the University’s overall success. “UNNC revolves around our students, both Chinese and those from overseas,” he said. “We provide a multitude of opportunities for students to engage with the real world – to intern with local industries and businesses, to forge valuable study and working relationships, gain entrepreneurship skills and to build up their confidence. I believe that this award reflects those achievements.”
Hosted by the British Chamber of Commerce Shanghai, the British Business Awards are held every two years. They celebrate British success in innovation and enterprise and recognize Chinese investment into the UK.

诺丁汉大学与中国的许多大型企业有紧密合作，包括中航工业，中国铁路，一汽和长安汽车以及中国资源集团等。诺丁汉大学还通过其亚洲商务中心支持英国的地方和国家企业与中国开展合作。
宁波诺丁汉大学被授予年度教育合作项目奖（英国大使馆文化教育处/英国文化教育协会赞助），以表彰其在中国高等教育领域的优异创新及贡献，以及与万里教育集团建立的合作伙伴关系的实力。
